Blitz Awarded Machias Savings Bank Grant to Host Virtual Entrepreneurship Conference
We’re very excited to announce that Blitz, an UpStart Maine program, has been awarded a $9,000 grant from Machias Savings Bank’s Rapid Response Grant to host a virtual entrepreneurship conference aimed to help businesses across Maine build and continue demonstrating resilience in response to the devastating effects COVID-19 has had on our economy.
With this grant, we Blitz will host a special, no-cost, half-day, online conference in addition to their annual conference held each fall. The Blitz Virtual Conference will be held on July 23, 2020, from 12:45-4:45 pm EST. It will provide an opportunity for Maine business owners to connect with other business owners and get a quick infusion of actionable items, out of the box ideas, and overall support that can help them navigate these challenging and quickly changing times.
In talking with business owners they're continuously hearing two things;
1. In a time where social distancing has temporarily canceled traditional networking events, how do I connect with other business owners?
2. I want to learn what others are doing, but I’m busy trying to save my business and don’t have much time for endless webinars and online conferences.
The goal of the Blitz Virtual Conference is to solve both needs in a short, yet impactful, afternoon of networking and information sharing.”
Registration is now open and attendance is no-charge thanks to a generous grant provided by Machias Savings Bank. Those who are interested in more information or registering can learn more at www.blitzbangor.com.
