Bragging Rights

+Three UpStart Maine partners received grants from Machias Savings Bank to help build resilience for Maine’s businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic:

*Big Gig will be putting on a virtual, special edition, pitch competition for entrepreneurs who have pivoted or started a new business due to COVID-19.

*Blitz will use the grant to host the Bangor-based entrepreneurship conference online.

*MaineStream Finance will receive funding to work with existing entrepreneurs in Eastern Maine to help them adapt to the realities during COVID-19 and its aftermath.

+UpStart Maine was the recipient of a $25,000 Start-Up/Scale-Up Grant through the Maine Community Foundation. This will help us build more connections between the region's entrepreneurs and mentors, advisors, first customers, c-suite expertise, & investors. Read more

+Ferda Farms, a Foster Center for Student Innovation company, and Easy Eats, a Big Gig finalist, will pitch for $25,000 on the Greenlight Maine Collegiate Challenge Finale, which airs this Sunday at 10 AM on News Center Maine. Read more

+The Love Card, a Top Gun alum, was featured on WABI for starting a global movement of spreading much-needed love and appreciation with their 150,000+ Love Cards. Read more
